Hi

when I type, the line goes more than 70 char. after I finish typing, I hit
M-q to format to 70 char. how can I get emacs to automatically do this, i.e.
after 70 char, it goes to the next line and justifies the line before it?

thx

You need to read the Emacs manual. :-) Here's a shortcut:

    C-h r i Auto Fill <Enter>

Other than Auto-fill mode. You could also investigate using
[longlines-mode](http://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/longlines.el), which I
like as it doesn't insert hard newlines.
