Subject: bug#3643: emacs -Q doesn't fit on the user's screen
Date: Wed, 13 Jan 2010 07:07:30 +0800	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <874omqncr1.fsf@jidanni.org> (raw)

JD> That is indeed a bad thing to do. I added some code to address that.

OK, but
$ emacs -Q
still won't fit on many screens, at least under icewm. Compare firefox.

I thought

  GNU Emacs 23.1.91.1 (i486-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.18.5)
  of 2010-01-12 on elegiac, modified by Debian
  (emacs-snapshot package, version 1:20100111-1)

However
$ zcat /usr/share/doc/emacs-snapshot-common/changelog.gz|head -n 1
2010-01-02  Eli Zaretskii  <eliz@gnu.org>

So that date is misleading...
