That's why I tried to avoid reverting. Not reverting means a lot of trouble. For example, you have to detect the situation when a file is in the killed state, so not to add its renamed file line to the Dired buffer in this case, etc. A less error-prone approach would be to allow a revert to avoid all these nuances.
