Subject: clipboard (parcellite) not showing any items from within gnus email manager

Hi.

For a long time now I've been using 'cliphist' as my emacs package to
communicate with 'parcellite' and act as my clipboard manager within
emacs.

Recently it has been changed and now my use of it is severely curtailed.
It works well in almost every occasion, except for within gnus emails.
There its not working at all, so people are sending me emails with links
to click, etc., but I'm totally unable to do so.

As I understand it the old cliphist uses '(require 'ivy), whereas the
new one uses '(require 'cliphist-sdk)'.

I have restored the original cliphist (cliphist-20210426.245) from
backup, but every time I've updated my emacs packages through the
'paradox package manager' its wanted to upgrade to
'cliphist-20210803.57'. I can't delete cliphist because its a dependency
of something else.

So please, how can I use emacs and parcellite together, and within all
of my emacs, including the gnus email program, please?

Thanks
    Sharon.
