As Eli said Emacs does that by default. Generally, text email is wrapped using newlines before it's sent. Not all email programs do that. Some of them don't do it well. You can tell if it's your config by loading the mbox file in emacs -Q. You can tell if RMAIL is the problem by comparing it with another program. For example, copy an email that suffers from the problem to an mbox file by itself then import the file into Thunderbird. Do you mean that the wrapping is odd in message-mode when replying? That could be because you have visual-line-mode enabled and message-mode has it's own line-wrapping too. BR, Robert Thorpe
