Lets say the minibuffer looks like
Find file: ~/.em<TAB>/auto-save-list/
and I hit TAB where it says <TAB>. Well, if emacs had any manners it
wouldn't do the massive bleeding complaining ritual. It would kindly
expand the ".emacs" at least (yes, I have a .emacs and .emacs.d). The
problem is that it is distracted by the following words so much so
that it forgets that it could do useful work here.
Same deal I bet for find-alternative-file, dired, etc.
Bash doesn't suffer this.
