For Windows users, current developer versions of Emacs 22 are worth checking out. There are several precompiled versions of it around. The robustness of XEmacs 21.5 on Windows presumably is less, but it is pretty much the only XEmacs on Windows that is supposed to deal tolerably with utf-8. -- David Kastrup, Kriemhildstr. 15, 44793 Bochum
