No, it isn't. Inside of [], \ is not special.

Maybe something like
M-x query-replace-regexp RET \(^\|[^\]\)\. RET \1\\. RET
Or even
M-x query-replace-regexp RET \(\(^\|[^\]\)\(\\\\\)*\)\. RET \1\\. RET
(which considers a dot preceded by an even number of backslashes as
unescaped).
