Note that also this is not all too much fun if you don't customize
something like

M-x customize-variable RET browse-url-browser-function RET

Browse Url Browser Function: Hide Value Value Menu Regexp/function association list:

            Function: (lambda (arg &rest ignore) (url-retrieve-synchronously arg))

            Function: browse-url-mozilla

Hm, maybe this should be easier to do?  Copying this posting to the
Emacs developer list, since it does not seem to be gnus-only.

Anybody else has a working setup for making "mailto:" and similar
links in Firefox divert to Emacs?  This was the best I could come up
with, and it took quite a bit of figuring out things.
