auto save files

auto save files

is there a auto save mode that actually save the file instead of
making #file# copies?

or perhaps there's a variable to tweak?

thanks rustom. Am thinking, if i turn that on and autosave on,
autosave will still try to create those #files# when the buffer isn't
a normal file?
