Subject: Cannot cancel the playing of a sound sample
Date: Mon, 25 May 2009 20:19:18 -0700 (PDT) [thread overview]
Message-ID: <85022a00-659d-4fbe-a209-fabe04edc29f@c7g2000prc.googlegroups.com> (raw)
Please write in English if possible, because the Emacs maintainers
usually do not have translators to read other languages for them.
Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org mailing
list,
and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group.
Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:
I want to use the play-sound feature to turn my computer into an alarm
clock, notifying me with different sound samples when different
appointments are due. However I cannot play a long WAV file as there
is no way of cancelling the playing of a sound sample that is
currently playing. Can anyone help me to work out how to cancel a
sound sample that is currently playing? You would expect Control-g to
work but it doesn't.
If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
`bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file
d:/Program Files/emacs-22.2/etc/DEBUG for instructions.
