Maybe for consistency mouse-n should be called up-mouse-n :-)
Most bindings are made to mouse-n but once in a while it is useful to
bind to down-mouse-n because (a) down comes before up and (b) you
don't have to release the mouse button for down, so it's ideal for
the click-drag action.
