It's really strange.  I don't understand.  Hm.  How about this:

(define-key function-key-map (kbd "<delete>") (kbd "<next>"))

Does C-h c <next> now say something about next instead of delete?

Behavior did not change.  Buffer scrolling and menu bar movement still do 
not work.

What happens if you do C-h k <pgup> with the define-key statement?
What happens if you do <pgup> C-h l?

in my .emacs, C-h k <pgup> yeilds the message:

delete is undefined

<pgup> C-h l displays:

ESC [ 3 ~ C-h l

I think it's better to do (define-key function-key-map (kbd "ESC [ 3
~") (kbd "<next>")).

But it's unclear to me why the keyboard hardware leads to you having
to do that.  Hm.  Oh!  For me, it's ESC [ 5 ~ for page up, so 5
instead of 3.  Interesting.

Hello

I use a small keyboard with integrated number pad and such keys. It is 
like many of the compact keyboards found on laptops.  There is an Fn key
that is used to activate the integrated keys.  So my page up key consists
of Fn + Up Arrow.

I am using GNU Emacs 20.2.3.  I have in my .emacs:
    (global-set-key "\e[3~" 'scroll-down)

This makes page up work great while in most all buffers.  But when
I hit F10 and go into the menu bar, and it says
"Menu bar (up/down to change, PgUp to menu):" 
in the mini buffer, PgUp doesn't take me back to the previous
menu like it should.  Instead I get the message "Beginning of buffer".

Any ideas on how I can get PgUp to work in the menu bar?
