Subject: Uniquify and Gnus interaction

Message-ID: <84el3a3463.fsf@lucy.is.informatik.uni-duisburg.de> (raw)
I'm too tired now to investigate further, but I get this when I try
to exit a Gnus summary buffer:
Debugger entered--Lisp error: (wrong-type-argument stringp nil)
directory-file-name(nil)
uniquify-rationalize-file-buffer-names(nil #<buffer *Dead Summary nntp+gmane:gmane.emacs.devel*>)
(progn (uniquify-rationalize-file-buffer-names (uniquify-buffer-file-name ...) (current-buffer)) (setq ad-return-value (buffer-name ...)))
(if uniquify-buffer-name-style (progn (uniquify-rationalize-file-buffer-names ... ...) (setq ad-return-value ...)))
(when uniquify-buffer-name-style (uniquify-rationalize-file-buffer-names (uniquify-buffer-file-name ...) (current-buffer)) (setq ad-return-value (buffer-name ...)))
(if (null unique) (setq uniquify-managed nil) (when uniquify-buffer-name-style (uniquify-rationalize-file-buffer-names ... ...) (setq ad-return-value ...)))
(let (ad-return-value) (setq ad-return-value (ad-Orig-rename-buffer newname unique)) (uniquify-maybe-rerationalize-w/o-cb) (if (null unique) (setq uniquify-managed nil) (when uniquify-buffer-name-style ... ...)) ad-return-value)
rename-buffer("*Dead Summary nntp+gmane:gmane.emacs.devel*" t)
gnus-deaden-summary()
gnus-summary-exit()
call-interactively(gnus-summary-exit)
I use CVS Emacs with the CVS Gnus from gnus.org. Both updated maybe
one hour ago.
I'll have a look at it later (after sleeping!) unless somebody is quicker
than me.
