The manual for Emacs 25.1 is available in some formats, except Texinfo,
which is stuck at version 24.5:
https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/emacs-formats.html
Is there a way to get the manual for Emacs 25.1 in Texinfo format?
Thank you.

Thanks, but that only gets the main Tex file, not the included ones.
All files are available in the source distribution, therefore I have tried:
./configure
make docs
But the build has not generated any new emacs.texi. Am I doing anything
wrong? Has emacs.texi been discontinued?
Thanks.

My real problem was to get a *.mobi version for my ebook reader, and I
have managed to get one by feeding the single HTML to an online
conversion service, hence I consider my problem to be solved. Still.
I'm curious about why the Emacs team seems to have dropped support for
the Tex version of the manual, after the plain text one.

The Emacs manual is written in texinfo format. You don't see a new texi
file when you build emacs because that file is not generated. The file
is there already when you download the repository.
The file you browse from within Emacs is the .info file which is
generated from the .texi file.
I think the simple answer is that someone hasn't got around to uploading
the .pdf, .ps.gz and .texi version of the 25.1 manual.

Therefore the full emacs.texi that maintainers used to publish, that was
not generated by the Makefile? Thanks.
