It did not segfaulted. In that case, one more check: the getaddrinfo_a function AFAIK lives in the libanl library. You should be able to see that the Emacs binaries you've built before, those that segfaulted, depend on that library, by running ldd on the binary. So do you have that library available on that device? If not, that could perhaps be the reason for a segfault in the normal build.
