Eli,

When pressing on F12, bound for me to:

  (global-set-key (kbd "<f12>") 'bury-buffer)

I get, in the GDB window:

--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
Program received signal SIGTRAP, Trace/breakpoint trap.
[Switching to Thread 15276.0x5d48]
0x77af2fac in ntdll!RtlVerifyVersionInfo () from /cygdrive/c/Windows/SYSTEM32/ntdll.dll
(gdb) continue
Continuing.
[New Thread 15276.0x2304]

Program received signal SIGTRAP, Trace/breakpoint trap.
[Switching to Thread 15276.0x2304]
0x77af2fac in ntdll!RtlVerifyVersionInfo () from /cygdrive/c/Windows/SYSTEM32/ntdll.dll
(gdb) continu
Continuing.
--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---

It is reproducible.

Best regards,
  Seb

This is normal. On Windows, the F-12 key breaks into the debugger,
which is what you see.

Just got a segmentation fault (and Emacs 24.2.93 crashed) when answering you
to this post. See next post.

My question was: can I ignore those, because it forces me to go to the GDB
terminal (and to type "continue") each time I'm pressing F12, which is a
lot...

Best regards,
  Seb

Just don't press F12.

Or bind bury-buffer to S-F12 and press S-F12 (-> no break into GDB)
or to C-F12... idem.

  Seb

He doesn't post via the newsgroup/NNTP which works fine AFAIK, he sends
mail to an address that then feeds into the newsgroup on Gmane.

Regards,
Achim.

No, it doesn't work fine, as I have said many times. I'm not explaining
this again. http://debbugs.gnu.org/936

> he sends mail to an address that then feeds into the newsgroup on
> Gmane.

There are no Gmane headers in, eg:

http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-gnu-emacs/2013-02/msg00560.html

which doesn't appear anywhere in the bug tracker, which is the whole
point I keep trying to make, over and over. Neither does the message to
which Eli replied to create this report.

(AFAIK, there is no problem with using Gmane.)
