Thanks.

If it only shows up when point is in a partially visible line, then
the bug is that Emacs lets point be displayed in such a line.  It is
supposed to scroll the display to have the line with point be fully
visible.

And indeed, I have a very hard time forcing Emacs to let me have point
in a partially visible line.

But Joe didn't seem to talk about partially visible lines.  Joe, is
that right?
