Btw, isn't the code wrong?  AFAIU by reading relevant discussions on
the Internet, we should be looking at

   *(long *)propertyItem[frame].value

instead of at propertyItem[frame].length.  The latter gives the length
of the value in bytes or something.  Hmm...
