I haven't checked in detail, but the first entry was marked "+++", and
the second "---". Is it correct to merge both entries and mark them "---"?

Yes, the first "+++" was a mistake. None of these are mentioned in
the documentation.

No, should probably have been +++? (Since one is allegedly documented
and the other allegedly doesn't need documentation.)
