I did now, thanks. I did read earlier all the issues related to
ConPTY, and didn't see there any related aspects being discussed, so
it definitely sounds like what I see is the intended behavior. But we
can hope.

This is a Windows component tightly coupled to ConHost and other
layers, so I have no idea how to install it if modified. In any case,
even if doing so is possible, we cannot expect Emacs users to be able
to install a modified ConPTY on their systems, as many/most Windows
boxes are locked down nowadays. It isn't a practical solution, IOW.
