A nit: that doesn't necessarily mean anything, because a 32-bit build of 'strip' could well support 64-bit PE executables. It all depends on how it was configured. To know whether it does, say "strip --help" and look at the list of supported targets at the end. My 32-bit binary says: strip: supported targets: pe-i386 pei-i386 elf32-i386 elf32-iamcu elf32-little elf32-big pe-x86-64 pei-x86-64 pe-bigobj-x86-64 elf64-x86-64 elf64-l1om elf64-k1om elf64-little elf64-big plugin srec symbolsrec verilog tekhex binary ihex See that pe-x86-64 stuff there?
