For a file about 80 KB in size it takes about one second in > Notepad and 5-6 seconds in Emacs. Does it help to set w32-get-true-file-attributes to a nil value? Also, is this a regression in the last pretest? IOW, when was the last time you tried visiting files on that remote file system and it was much faster than what you see now with 23.1.94? Thanks.
