Subject: [PROPOSAL] GSoC-like campaingn for FSF/GNU projects
Date: Thu, 19 Apr 2012 11:53:14 +0530 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <81fwc0s0j1.fsf_-_@gmail.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <E1SKfVL-000191-3M@fencepost.gnu.org> (Richard Stallman's message of "Wed, 18 Apr 2012 20:45:47 -0400")
I think FSF can launch and manage it's own variant of Google Summer Of
Code.
This will ensure that FSF/GNU projects not only get regular, useful
contributions but also gain traction among the young.
From individual project side, such a campaingn will enable yearly
stock-taking
Within the GNU umbrella, it can serve as a clearing house for /active/
projects and related tasks.
