After verification, yes, it currently is done in my .emacs file -- I dunno
exactly why I did that, but...

1. Setting it to "" solves the problem.
2. Setting it back to nil makes the problem reappear.
3. Setting it to "" solves it again.

So, yes, it is because of that. Thanks.

Maybe some kind of error catching should be added, still?
