See the patch I attached to my other mail. > I'll get back when I've rewrote transpose frame You might want to write your own variant of 'window--subtree' where you would record the normal sizes of windows instead of their edges. This would be more accurate and give you immediately a factor to apply when splitting a window. And for rotating you might want to start with 'frame-first-window' as the sole window and then use 'above' and 'left' as SIDE arguments of 'split-window' as you see fit. Good luck, martin
