Emacs's org-mode is a finalist for the SourceForge Community Choices
Award in the category "Most Likely to Change the Way You Do Everything."
If you're a happy org-mode user, you can submit your vote here:
http://sf.net/community/cca09/vote/?f=401
If you want to advertize this and place a badge on your website, here
is the HTML snippet you can use:
<a href="http://sf.net/community/cca09/vote/?f=401">
<img border=0 src="http://sf.net/awards/cca/badge_img.php?f=401">
</a>
It is a great opportunity for both Org project and the Emacs community
as a whole. Winning this award would be the best reward one can imagine
for Carsten's tireless dedication and for Org's community imagination.
For a short preview of what is Org-mode here is a small video:

Thanks for your time & attention!

Voted! Can we count on you to remind us on July 23rd to check the
results or do I put that in my org file? :)

Have people forgotten about this thread?
Unfortunately, org-mode seems to have "lost" the award for "Most
Likely to Change the Way You Do Everything" to PortableApps.com, which
won with 20.21% of the votes. There is currently no information about
the other candidates in that category, including org-mode.

I would say that having been nominated is already a big win for Org.
The second win is all the effort that the Org community put in Org and
Worg after this announcement. That's a second big win, more valuable.

For people who for some reason have problems accessing the site,
org-mode received 5% (867) of the votes, finishing second-to-last,
beating Lancelot.

This is already remarkable by itself, as it is difficult to consider Emacs
"mainstream". And org-mode is "just" one mode, further reducing the target
audience. Not to mention people that use it but haven't heard of the award.
