And the frame > stays visible. The minibuffer frame does not _stay_ visible. It becomes visible again because it is supposed to display the result of 'pp-eval-expression' in the minibuffer. If you use the correct form - nil stands for the selected frame which is not the minibuffer-only frame, 'pp-eval-expression' allows one argument only - (progn (make-frame-invisible (window-frame (minibuffer-window))) (pp-eval-expression (window-frame (minibuffer-window)))) it will tell you nil, as expected. martin
