Isn't this advertisement implicit in the whole structure of Emacs? You can take *any* command and bind it to whatever shortcut-key you want. That the command exists at all is an advertisement. (And if we're talking about long annoying default advertisements, C-u C-x ~ for going to the previous error is more annoying.)
