I'm seeing the same problem with emacs version 22.1.1, but it only
appeared in the last week right after an update to the latest version
of Solaris 10 (to version " 5.10 Generic_120012-14 i86pc i386 i86pc"
according to uname -a).  I would be very interested in a solution to
this problem also.
