I just now tried to reproduce the problem by building from a fresh 
directory containing commit 4d71d2471aaf341791fd728287bf8db62aebb3ba, 
and could not reproduce it (please see attached log). Perhaps you can 
compare your fresh-build log to mine and see if there are earlier 
discrepancies that might help to explain why it fails on your machine.
