Yes, that's what I use. I tried the newish "M-x gdb" a few times and
was annoyed by the same things that annoy Glenn Brown. Dedicated windows
that cannot switch buffers can be quite frustrating for people who want
to use Emacs to edit as well as to debug.
This isn't due to Oleh's recent changes; it's due to the big change to
M-x gdb in Emacs 23.
