no idea how it got to this ( working fine yesterday ), but right now,
opening the following simple script in perl-mode leads to it incorrectly
identifying a paren mismatch ( marked by <- HERE in the code ).
This pretty much renders perl-mode unusable as I cannot
even use hashes anymore. I have no idea of lisp ( shame on me ), but
would prefer to continue using emacs and the perl-mode, since I am no
fan of fancy colors all over ('cperl-mode'), so I would be most thankful 
for a fix.
PS: the bug appears even without the comments :P
