Hi,
while building the pretest on openSuse 12.2 and 12.3 went smoothly,
encounter some issues at Debian wheezy.
Notably the fonts seen by wheezy's Emacs23 are not detected - see attachments.
Any ideas?

AFAICT, only GTK builds support the complete menu of available system
fonts. Your Emacs23 looks like lucid, so I think this is normal.
I don't know if/why it can not made working for non-GTK builds.

You don't get the GTK font dialogue unless you build a GTK version of
Emacs. Check for "What toolkit should Emacs use" at the end of
configure. Your system must be missing some packages required to build a
GTK version. This is not a bug.
