I'm almost sure that this is known, but I don't want to assume.
I get the text between ~ ~ with colouring as if it was in-text code
snippet. I found it interesting
\(a ~b\) and \(\int_{\Omega}fv~\mathrm{d}\)
Emacs : GNU Emacs 29.1 (build 1, x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 3.24.38, cairo version 1.17.8)
Package: Org mode version 9.6.6 (release_9.6.6 @ /usr/share/emacs/29.1/lisp/org/)
