Can you please me understand what is the difference between cscope
integration with emacs (using xcope, which describes here)

http://cscope.sourceforge.net/

cscope is better in my opinion. It deals with C far more intelligently
as a browse of the page above should explain.

Symbol Lookup with cscope

Download cscope program, and xcscope.el and cscope-indexer from an OSS
repository. Save the xcscope.el onto some directory in Emacs'
load-path. Edit your ~/.emacs as follows:
