Legal consequence from GPL has been widely discussed, seem accepted and working. CA, as we learned, is partly privately negotiated. While GPL is open, individual CA agreements are a not known. To evaluate the legal state of different parts in Emacs wrt CA will need one or more lawyers. Andreas
