Thanks for your answer! That would not solve my problem since it blocks 
the functionality of frame ":PROPERTIES: ". I was simply looking for

#+BEAMER_HEADER_EXTRA:  \institute{My insitute}

or

#+LaTeX_HEADER: \institute[short name]{My awesome institute}
