bug#7108: 24.0.50; gnus does not connect to IMAP server

  This configuration setup

(setq imap-ssl-program "openssl.exe s_client -ssl3 -quiet -connect %s:%p")

works fine in 23.2 to connect to Gmail, but does not work in 24.0.50
(rev 10163).
