Subject: bug#4742: 23.1.50; emacs -Q crashes on GNU/Linux
Date: Sun, 18 Oct 2009 11:47:10 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <4ADAE41E.7070809@swipnet.se> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <87bpk6yt35.fsf@telefonica.net>

How about /etc/X11/app-defaults or /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults?
Do you have any of these environment variables set:
XAPPLRESDIR, XUSERFILESEARCHPATH, XFILESEARCHPATH, XENVIRONMENT?
How about /usr/lib/X11/Xresources?

Also, check out
% xrdb -query

Make sure all these places aren't setting any X resource that applies to Emacs.
