Subject: 23.0.60; Backslash in initial default-directory on w32
Date: Fri, 30 May 2008 23:10:21 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <48406D3D.9060409@gmail.com> (raw)
When you start Emacs on w32 default-directory will contain backslashes.
I will look something like this "C:\\emacs\\u/".
This is a bit ugly and I just read one user complaint about this.
Why not add
(setq default-directory (expand-file-name default-directory))
after decoding default-directory in `command-line' in startup.el. This
will be somewhere around line 1118 in that file.
In GNU Emacs 23.0.60.1 (i386-mingw-nt5.1.2600)
