Subject: 23.0.60; Circular dependency in lisp/Makefile?
Date: Wed, 09 Apr 2008 08:42:05 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <47FC653D.1030205@swipnet.se> (raw)

Please write in English if possible, because the Emacs maintainers
usually do not have translators to read other languages for them.

Your bug report will be posted to the emacs-pretest-bug@gnu.org mailing list.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

Hello.

When doing
% make autoloads
in lisp, I get:

make: Circular /opt/src/emacs/lisp/calendar/cal-loaddefs.el <-
/opt/src/emacs/lisp/calendar/cal-loaddefs.el dependency dropped.
make: Circular /opt/src/emacs/lisp/calendar/diary-loaddefs.el <-
/opt/src/emacs/lisp/calendar/cal-loaddefs.el dependency dropped.
make: Circular /opt/src/emacs/lisp/calendar/diary-loaddefs.el <-
/opt/src/emacs/lisp/calendar/diary-loaddefs.el dependency dropped.
make: Circular /opt/src/emacs/lisp/calendar/hol-loaddefs.el <-
/opt/src/emacs/lisp/calendar/cal-loaddefs.el dependency dropped.
make: Circular /opt/src/emacs/lisp/calendar/hol-loaddefs.el <-
/opt/src/emacs/lisp/calendar/diary-loaddefs.el dependency dropped.
make: Circular /opt/src/emacs/lisp/calendar/hol-loaddefs.el <-
/opt/src/emacs/lisp/calendar/hol-loaddefs.el dependency dropped.
make: Circular /opt/src/emacs/lisp/mh-e/mh-loaddefs.el <-
/opt/src/emacs/lisp/mh-e/mh-loaddefs.el dependency dropped.

This is just warnings and doesn't seem to have any ill effects.

      Jan D.

If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
     `bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file
/opt/emacs/share/emacs/23.0.60/etc/DEBUG for instructions.
