The bzr status bar was around | 70%. This would probably be a lot faster over the smart server I guess - hopefully comparable to git as the smart server should compress and send the revisions in one go. But I think this is a great example of where the idea of shallow branches would be great. You would get your working copy (where you could commit, status, merge, log, annotate etc) almost immediately and Bazaar would download the remaining history in the background without getting in your way. I hope the Bazaar team can implement something like this fairly quickly as I think it is a killer feature and would eliminate most performance problems when branching (especially for large projects like Emacs). I must say I am very impressed with Bazaar's developers - it's amazing what they have done already and how quickly they develop new features. So if anyone could pull something like this off I think it would be them ;-) Cheers, Nick -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFH2kKC1+i51gqqEGkRAjjrAKC39OZkEPfI0793TTpDK9p4QwdhBwCgoar1 kgS/JJE7NI7TTpV8vzcv43M= =QOoV -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
