Thanks for the report. I have changed this in the last beta so that the
region is only indented when it is visible. Does this work for you?

Indeed it does. I am glad that I ran into this, as well: I learned
about the indent-region function in Emacs, and can now map a key to it.
Emacs is so huge, but it is /so/ wonderful.
