Compile log buffer behavior with emacs 22

Hello,

I recently installed emacs 22 on a Sun station under Solaris 10.

When compiling a source file, the resulting log buffer sometimes stops 
displaying the output messages, and I need to click in the log buffer in 
order to proceed. That happens for example:
- while compiling a java source file with jdee : the JAVAPATH variable 
is displayed in the log buffer, but error messages or the "compilation 
finished" message are delayed until I click in the log buffer.
- while compiling a latex source file with auctex : the interactive 
buffer displays the log messages, then stops after a moment until I 
click in it.

That wasn't the behavior observed with previous versions of emacs, and I 
can't figure out whether it is a feature of emacs 22 (and in this case 
how to restore the previous behavior) or a problem with Solaris 10. It 
would be great if somebody could give me some help !
