Hi,

this is not a serious bug, hopefully you've already have it in your
todo list. If not, then let me inform you that
http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/windows/faq2.html seems to be a bit
outdated now.

E.g. its "How do I compile Emacs myself?" sections doesn't mention
MinGW, what is used e.g. for EmacsW32, so surely can be used. For a
detailed desc., see http://ourcomments.org/Emacs/w32-build-emacs.html.

Also it has a section about "What are the differences between Emacs
21.x, and 20.x" instead of v22 vs. v21.

\bye

Updating the FAQ for a new version is not something that suddenly
happens overnight, and we could do with more volunteers to help with it.
Currently it is the effort of one person, who AFAIK does not even use
Windows as his primary platform. I did add a note to the top of the FAQ
when the release was made warning that the FAQ was mostly relevant to
earlier versions. The points you raised are just scratching the surface
of what needs changing, but it is good to get focused reports on
suggested changes. It is probably best to discuss the contents of this
FAQ on the help-emacs-windows mailing list, as it is not really a bug in
Emacs, and of interest only to Windows users (if there are items in the
FAQ with wider applicability, part of the updating process is to move
them into the main Emacs FAQ).
