This gives an aerror. I tried (setq global-highlight-changesĀ 1) and (setq global-highlight-changesĀ t) These do not give an error, but do also not have an influence. I put the following in my .emacs: (global-set-key [f12] 'highlight-changes-mode) So I can very easily set and reset it.
