Hello,

in emacs 21 and 22 running in Windows XP and also Vista
the scroll know is almost invisible in LCD monitors.
Its color is a pale gray that can hardly be seen in the
scroll bar background.
Setting the scroll-foreground and scroll-background properties
of frames has no effect. My suggestio is:

  - to change the default color so that the knob can be
    seen
  - to fix the scro-foreground and scroll-background properties
so that the color can be customized.

Thank you

Angelo Borsotti

Thank you for your report.

What build of Emacs are you running? is that a native Windows build or
a Cygwin build or an X build that you run remotely from a Unix
machine?

Please always report these details (M-x report-emacs-bug will do that
automatically for you).

Please suggest a color that is as close to the current as possible,
but still visible on your display.

Btw, did you observe this on several different LCD displays or just on
a single specific one?

That might prove impossible with some toolkits.
