Subject: unable to compare files
Date: Thu, 25 Jan 2007 11:23:45 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <45B88531.56504DBF@alcatel-lucent.it> (raw)

Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.

Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org mailing
list,
and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

I have installed emacs on Windows XP. I have also installed the
UNIXutils, which
include "diff". I have then tried to compare two buffers. After entering
the
names of the two buffers, I receive the following message:

ediff-setup: Symbol's function definition is void:
ediff-setup-diff-regions

and the file comparison then quits. What should I do to make it work?

Thank you
-Angelo Borsotti
