Which function is used to insert a string, specified by its variable

Also, function is used to insert a list, specified by its variable name,
into a buffer?

Obviously: ngej-ghoD (ngej-ghoD string)
Not obvious enough? Then try: insert (insert string)

insert:
(insert string-variable)

A list of what? If it's a list of strings:
(apply 'insert list-of-strings)
